This week I need to offer an apology for my last video. I figured the best way to handle this was to address the situation as quickly and directly as possible… and the best way to do it was with this video.

    • That was HILARIOUS!!!! Thank you so much for the laugh AND… KEEPING IT REAL!!
By the way, you are right….if you were wearing a suit, I probably would scroll right past your messages. Keep being you Jeff. 🙂

      • Love your humor thank you so much much love and gratitude to you your team and this community 😀

Good stuff. I like my suits. And I like Jeffs T-shirts. To each their own.

    • That’s perfect.
Be who you are, attract who you want to work with!
      Love the satire.

    • My first thought was – Who died?? I love this video because too many times we are too concerned about what people think instead of being ourselves and attracting the people who can relate to who you really are authentically!

  1. Great Jeff. Totally understand. Feel judged sometimes and especially as a Medium… Writing a memoir and nervous but excited…I like the way you used the example. Had a friend I hadn’t seen for ages who invited me to her swish home. Sent her a video of a mentor/ medium. She wrote back..” Oh I don’t believe in that stuff”… Heartbreaking at times when you get to platform level and to hear that. However ‘ I get it” she’s not in my marketing zone…. Keep up the great work. Ur an inspiration../Melb Australia…

  2. The funniest video I’ve seen you post. Classic moment when it showed you in shorts! The email definitely caught my attention because I was thinking “Jeff Walker being offensive? No way. What the hell did he say?!” Totally got me! Great video.

  3. I love your tee shirt and shorts!
    I do the same.
I am the “gift in the problem” to my clients AS I AM,
My message is what is important. GOD loves me for whom I am
    Not what I wear.

Thanks for the laugh and affirmation.

  4. Wow… This is my favorite of all of your videos 🙂

I was so surprised when I saw that email subject line that I went back and watched you last videos and read the comments too, before I watched this one… You got me !
Way to go Jeff ! We love you because of who you are and the integrity that who you are is exactly the person we see, whether it’s on stage or in everyday conversations.

  5. Jeff, thank you!
    totally agree with you!!!
Now I read your book, I am going to use ideas you share, soon I will see how it works.

  6. Love this! I’ve recently had my first negative comment about a video I put out and I took it to heart. I’m going to remember this video, if/when I get other negative comments.

  7. I love it too!
Here in Perth Western Australia we all love Thank God its Friday!!

  8. Well done. I agree with you that substance is far important than form. I do respect if you think otherwise. They have every right not to agree with me.

  9. Oh. My. Goodness! Mic drop moment. That’s the way to deal with people like Ron who take themselves far too serious.

  10. Yeah mate, Totally agree with you, mirror your client, where not sitting at home wearing a suit or power dresses for also these amazing ladies out in the world today. Ps I want your product for my company so get in touch please.

    Laughing away

  11. If a person focuses on a t-shirt and not on the message, you are right, they are not the type of person who will listen, practice, experiment and be resourceful on the way to their success. It is like criticizing the color on a sign that says, “flash flooding ahead”, instead of getting the message from the sign. Much success to everyone on this platform. Beautiful Echinacea flowers behind you, Jeff. All the best. Adriano Rosso in beautiful Roccaverano, Piedmont, Italy

  12. Ron should be honoured you dedicated a whole video to him. I’d LOVE if you did that for me, just have to do a stupid comment. Hm … can’t think of anything to say though, cause I love everything you do. Your course is on my list of things to do … since I read your book (you had me at page 1!) . And now I know, you even got a great sense of humour. Can’t wait to meet ya . . . 😉

  13. Awesome response, love it 🙂 I aspire to wear whatever I want every day rather than what is the alleged appropriate attire. Great video.

  14. Hahahaha! As a pastor (to your nephew Kevin and brother Jim) I absolutely love the way you handled this! Suits are for marrying and burying people! I totally thought you were wearing boxer shorts for a second. Laughed out loud!!!

  15. When your email came in I wondered what you had to apologise for. So I watched last week’s video again before watching this one and couldn’t think what you needed to apologise for. So I scrolled down the comments to see what people were saying and thought these are good comments. Then I saw Ron’s comment and wondered why he thought your T shirt was ridiculous. Was it the white speck of dust on the front of your T shirt or was it a fashion statement about the little pocket. Anyway, I thought it was a strange comment to make and out of the blue as you usually wear a T shirt. So I thought I had better watch your apology. My heart sank with the seriousness of the video and wondered what the hell you had done wrong. Then Ron’s comment came to light and the light bulb went on. The thought of your team taking a “ridiculous remedy” made me laugh so much, along with the wide short of you sitting there in your underwear was a classic move. Absolutely brilliant!!

But seriously, feeling judged can be difficult especially if you are just being yourself. This highlighted my own position and how I might like to present the way I am on video and on my website. I feel a lot more comfortable now thinking about how I can present myself in videos I’m making and just believe in the content that’s good for my audience.

Keep up the good work, Jeff.
By-the-way, I’ve never posted a comment before on any website, but thought this deserved one. Thank you for all the advice you’ve given along with your honesty and passion for helping others. It’s priceless.

I appreciate your authenticity very much. As I work primarily with Boards of Directors in an advisory capacity, business suits are often required. However, ties are mostly optional these days – especially in the tech space. Please keep the videos coming.

  17. Oh my gosh, SO funny! Love that you are YOU and no one else! Yes, we need to attract our ideal customers…no big loss without him!

  18. Great video, Jeff–a reflection of your brand—and only those who resonate with your brand will be attracted to it. That’s why you attract the RIGHT clients to your business! No need to focus on the naysayers or critics… Thank you!

Wonderful video, Jeff. The suit doesn’t suit you. You look so much better as yourself and that includes a t-shirt.

As a gardener I judge people by their backyards. Your echinacea looks very nice. ?

  21. When this video came to my in box I wondered who the person was in the picture. It wasn’t until I started the video that I realized this person was actually you!

  22. What a great video, full of surprises!
Including your story about you ideal clients.
    Thanks, I love it!
    Gwen/The Netherlands

  23. That video cracked me up, the shorts were a great adition to the suit. Your video reminded me of who I was yesterday. Years ago I was Ron, but through you and a few others people, I learned how to drop the suit and I am now happier and living a life of purpose and meaning. Your video will probably not change Ron over night and into a person wearing a t-shirt worth millions, but it may hopefully be a good first step into helping him discover his true self on the road less travelled. You’re an amazing giver and teacher Jeff, thank you for sharing the secrets that have helped me to never wear a tie again!

  24. Hilarious! I loved the shorts with the dressed-up top! There’s no need for power dressing when you already have the power!

    • Elizabeth, you are absolutely right. I work with multimillionaire men, and they are the first to wear jeans and a casual shirt (albeit NICE and quality casual wear, shoes, watch, etc.) They know they are already powerful; they don’t have to prove otherwise! 🙂

  25. The first thing I thought when I saw this video was, “Get that suit off! You look ridiculous!!!” Lol

  26. Attract the people you want to attract. Yes sir. You are authentic so thank you.

  27. Good for you Jeff! The reason so many people want to get out of the corporate environment and do their own thing is so they CAN be authentic and stop putting on phony airs. That’s what I love about you! You know your knowledge has value for others and you want to share it to help others do the same. You are probably one of the most genuine people in the industry! Thanks for all you do! Don’t ever change!

  28. Hilarious! And what a great message – authenticity is a big part of having an abundance mindset. Thanks for being real – we would not want you as the wonderful mentor you are if you were not true to yourself.

  29. That was great! I too was really concerned at first, thinking ‘Jeff walker has offended someone?!!’
I was taking it really seriously until I saw the shorts! LoL. It never occurred to me that you wear T-shirts and shorts until this came up. Thanks for sharing. Very funny. 🙂

  30. Love this video! How the heck did you ever keep a straight face? Lol!!! When I started out in my Hypnotherapy practice It took me a while to attract my perfect clients. When I did, life became SO much more enjoyable for me!. Bow that our Hypnotherapy Trainer Program is live, I no longer want just anyone in our program and I’m glad that I can be myself and attract the students who will benefit.

  31. Hi Jeff,

Fantastic reply to Ron !! I just loved it.

Be what you are, and dress up the way you want to. Don’t dress up for other people.
I guess genuine people have no time to think what others are thinking about them.
So dress up the way you feel comfortable in.

  32. This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while for sure! Congrats on being you and being awesome…and for remaining true to your ideal clients. The first part of this was just hilarious.

  33. I love it..
You made your point with class.
Thank you for wearing a teeshirt. I love your videos and you great messages. Namaste????

  34. Love the authenticity of your way of being. Gives us all great latitude to be ourselves. Classic moment: the reveal of you in shorts.

  35. Jeff, that was actually one of my favorite t-shirts of yours. I like the color, it blended well with the background and it looked very soft 🙂 Thanks taking the time to use this as a great example that our message should attract your ideal client and to pay attention to the details and how your client will receive it. Wonderfully said!!
    We love what you do!
    Beth Berry

  36. Everything. I love everything about your approach. This is fabulous! Gotta say, seeing you in a suit is so not you. Love the t-shirts. 🙂

    Content, authenticity, making a connection.
I’ve successfully built my business on being just like my audience. Being real. Being who they are and meeting them where they are at. Nothing fake. One of my favorite compliments is “I feel like we’re hanging out in my kitchen, chatting over coffee, and we’re the best of friends.” That brings them in, that keeps them with you (by email, of course) and it creates people who believe in you, your intentions, and your product.

It’s a lot to live up to in a photoshopped and often over-edited online world. But it’s the way to stand out from the masses.

Thanks for only ever being you. You’ve transformed lives.

  37. Reinforces the old adage “never listen to the naysayers”. There’s always someone out there who is jealous that they haven’t decided to achieve themselves what others have achieved, so they simply take their anger out on others. This will eat them up an destroy them, what you as a business owner have to do is ignore the naysayers and let the universe deal with their negativity in its own way, I heard a great line once from whom I can’t remember – “You are not their healer”, I think Jeff I heard that on a call you were on once with a female spiritual coach.

  38. Hear hear, Jeff!
My last blog “Get rid of your SHIT before you die!” set off a lot of negativity. I appreciate the comments because that means people are reading it!!!
Reminds me of the dude who’s running for President…bad hair and all…that guy, people SHOULD be offended by.
I appreciate you and all those t-shirt days.
    Cheers,

Jeff….to get OUT of a suit is one of the reasons I started following you.

  40. I’m just beginning to produce content videos. I filmed myself on the back porch, in a comfy sundress, and included the sentence, “this is me. This is how I teach, laid back.” I know my casual teaching style is not for everyone. I even have birds tweeting and cycads humming in the background. But, now I have hope. Thanks Jeff! You give hope to those who prefer comfort over suits!

  41. And you shot that with such a straight face! Lol I haven’t had a belly laugh like that in a long time.
    Awesome message!

  42. Love it! Great response!

I’m not watching you and interested in bettering my marketing skills so I can wear a suit… I’m doing this so I can wear a bikini while I’m working on my laptop on the beach!

Looking forward to your next video… in T-shirt and shorts, from the beach? 😉

  43. Hi Jeff, I really got a laugh out of this video. And what a great message you gave, it’s about the message and content delivered, not
how you look. And your #1 with me when it comes to providing great content.

  44. Lol, absolutely agree. Some of my friends asked where my tie was when I posted a photo meeting the city Lord Mayor on FB a few weeks ago….. I hate suits……

  45. This is the BEST! Hilarious and points out how silly we can be sometimes thinking we are all psychologists and over-analyze these things.

  46. I’ve watched a ton of your videos and found them all to be full of great content and wisdom. I’ve never paid attention to your clothing. I couldn’t care less what you’re wearing! What you say makes complete sense and anyone who spends their time focusing on things like clothing is concentrating on the wrong thing. Keep wearing those t-shirts and keep delivering great content! Thanks Jeff!

Tell Ron when they’re wearing a suit and tie, odds are they’re telling a lie! 😉

  48. Jeff, I love it. Your t-shirts are the second most important reason I follow you. The first is your content!!

  49. It’s always important to be yourself. That’s part of why I enjoy watching your videos. You aren’t trying to be anyone other than yourself. I love your response to Ron’s comment. It’s sad how so many can’t see past the outer image to what lies within a person.

  50. BOOYAH!!! Loved this video Jeff. It comes at a great time in my business.

You that it’s important to be comfortable. I think it’s important for people to understand that YOUR comfortable and YOUR freedom is a T-shirt and sandals but some people might love to wear suits and their freedom, for example, would be the freedom to afford suits they love. I loved that video and thought it was a brilliant way to make a point. I hope that people understand that you want people to be who they are and what they want to be rather than saying that being able to wear a T-shirt to a board meeting should be equated to success. I personally am a shorts to meeting type of guy but I know a few people who LOVE suits so I think that we should all take the most important part of that message (besides ‘Goodbye Ron’) and seek to understand what makes us really happy and who makes us happy so we can surround ourselves with those type of customers and be who we are most happy as in their presence.
Thanks Jeff!! That post will be a legend for sure.

  52. I love it how you include your guitar in this video. Just a little piece of “yourself” to have by your side for strength at this very tough time. Hahahahaahaha! (BTW, it’s BECAUSE you wear a t-shirt that I watch your videos)

  53. I was trying so hard to think, wait he is always in a t-shirt……when wasn’t he? LOL

    Have a great week!

    T

  54. I love this, Jeff. Gail and I just watched it and laughed out loud.

Since leaving the corporate world six years ago, I have only worn a suit twice: once when speaking to a Fortune 100 company that requested all the speakers to wear a coat and tie and once for a funeral. I’ve done okay, too. 😉

Keep having fun, bro. You’re an inspiration!

  55. When I saw today’s subject line I thought, “hmm, if there was something serious for Jeff to apologize for he would have done it way before a week had gone by”… But it still drew me in. Great job Jeff, your heart shines through, which on top of the rich content you continuously provide is why so many are drawn to you.

  56. Great video and I couldn’t agree more! As a female, I am jealous though. Could a woman get by without professional makeup, a somewhat dressy sleeveless top (good earrings and necklace recommended), and of course the infamous stilettos.

On my first website, a long time ago, I got verbally attacked because I had a photo of me in a t-shirt, shorts and sneakers with my dog. Wish I’d replied as cleverly as this.

  57. Thank You Jeff! I have been struggling with getting myself out there wondering how people look at me! I know I do a tremendous job in my coaching, but was worried about those that sit and judge stupid things. You just gave me the reminder that it is my business and like you said I want to attract people that appreciate my coaching not those that judge me. You are tremendous and make me proud of living in Colorado!

  59. The first 30 seconds are brilliant videography in every detail…B&W, lighting, music, location, & position of subject (I’m probably missing something) but your son should get an award!!! And then there’s “JEFF THE ACTOR”… posture, tone of voice, no hint of humor, and then there’s that newly minted phrase “ridiculous-ness mitigation strategy” perfectly timed for the long shot and transition. Gold Stars all over!

  60. I actually thought that last video of yours was AWESOME! I had read Ron’s comment and thought “What an stupid remark.”
This video not only entertained me but was so true! Not everyone can be in your tribe. The more popular you get, the more critics you will get. Without critics you’re doing nothing. Bravo Jeff!

  61. Too funny Jeff! Nice to see you have a sense of humor. Great response about knowing your audience and being authentic to who you are, t-shirts and all! Have a great week!

  62. Funny! The quick cut from the suit, to the suit with the shorts really cracked me up! At first, I thought you were going for sort of a Hitchcock or Rod Serling thing.

Anyone with a brain will choose Jeff Walker in a t-shirt over most pompous windbags in a suit every day of the week.

  63. This answers an image issue that I’ve been struggling with. I’ve been spinning and couldn’t see the simple answer right in front of me. The people who I want to work with are people who appreciate my age and experience and continuing creativity …. so don’t worry about the people who think I’m too old to be vibrant, creative and visionary … Thanks, Jeff and thanks for the humor … great video!

  66. You sold tens of millions of dollars of product in a t-shirt?

Where do you get your t-shirts. I want some.

  67. haaaaaa!!!!! This was one of your best videos ever!!!! Amen to the ideal clients who love ya for however you show up.

  68. Love it! What a great way to handle Ron’s comment creatively, authentically, and in a way that is totally you.

Plus,I’m sure your headline has driven lots more traffic to your blog. I’ve gotten your emails for a long time and this is the first one that brought me here to your blog.

  69. Love you Jeff! Seems to me you’re very much on brand. In fact, I do think anyone in business ought to make a conscious choice of the image they project and it ought to be aligned with their business messaging. I don’t think I have ever seen Richard Branson in a tie, but I’m very familiar with his jeans. He seems to have done alright as well.

  70. Hey Jeff! I offended you didn’t shave your legs with those bony knees. Love your stuff. You rock. Shorts and t-shirts rock.

  71. Hi Jeff

Thanks for standing in your truth even though it’s sometimes hard when others don’t “get” where you are coming from at first. You just helped me stand in my truth by modelling it yourself (in a t-shirt and jeans no less!). I’ve been so afraid to share my truth, I have held myself back from my mission. As a result, I live with less passion, less joy, less of everything that truly matters to me.

    And I help no one.

    Not even myself.

So thank you again for standing up, and standing for, your truth, no matter what it is! Your light is what this planet needs and your example is exactly what I needed to hear, especially TODAY!

Thank you to Ron as well, for sharing his truth in the moment so this could all come about…

  72. Jeff thanks for the subject line of the year 🙂
    You + Tie + Apology ??
    Irresistible
    And brilliant.

  73. Best video ever. Most creative. Most real. You are moving beyond videography (mere recording) into cinematography — which is story-telling. So proud of you. You are a True HERO — one who raises others.

  74. I love this video! I was in my head a lot about what image I portray and whether people will actually respond to it … and this helps A LOT!!! Thanks!

    • Same for me too. Makeup or no make up for my videos. All those are irrelevant. The message is what ideal client should focus on.

  75. Thanks Jeff for teaching me how to apologize to my customers when things go wrong.

    1: Admit it.
    2. Apologize
3: Communicate your plans to improve and prevent mistake from happening again.,

  77. THANK YOU, Jeff! This is such an awesome message. It is a message that I try to embody in my business, and it is always so awesome to hear reinforced (especially from someone who has had so much success)!!

  78. Hi Jeff, there are 99 people out of 100 who love what we do and then there is 1 !!! – ONE – who doesn’t agree. Why do we even bother to talk about that opinion or even make a whole video about it? Can’t we just ignore the opinion? Obviously we can’t. Isn’t that interesting?. Thank you Jeff

  79. Haha! I love it. Well done. In today’s world, a lot of people are far too concerned with impressing others with what they wear, too concerned about appearances and how others perceive them that they miss out on so much in life.

  80. thank you for keeping it real. I believe in mirroring our clientele. I love the fact that you keep it simple and unpretentious. I have always appreciated you being authentic. Many of us are tired of the tyranny that is associated with corporate America and you are like a fresh breath of air.

  81. That was hilarious, bro–loved it–and as an old friend, I promise you that you look better in a T-shirt!!!
    Ridgely–the man in red shoes…

  82. Jeff, when I first saw your picture, I carefully stared at it to figure out who it was. I decided it must have been a picture of your Dad because it looked like you but much older. Glad to see you are still your youthful, colorful self. And another great message as I sit down to write my talk outline and worry about the response I’ll get. My tribe will respond and they are the people I can help.

Jeff thank you for another authentic video. I am glad that you did this one. It has such a great message in it. I was shocked when you did the 1st part- you in a suit and tie, in a library. That is definitely not you. Having been in Durango several times, I really can’t remember seeing anyone in a coat and tie

    • @Victoria: you’re right… the height of fashion in Durango is having a really nice but dirty mountain bike on the roof of your car. 🙂

  87. Ron has the problem and not you. And your look is part of the casual, friendly, conversational, and genuine qualities
that flow from you. What Ron needs to look at is the radiation that you give out. Lots of movie stars wear levis, T shirts
and long hair. What about them?

  90. Way to keep it real Jeff! I cut my teeth in business back in the day when wearing suits and dresses was a requirement to be taken seriously, whether you worked in corporate or worked for yourself. I’m grateful now for the freedom to do business my way with the people I choose to engage with. If someone wants to judge me based upon how I look or what I wear instead of the value I deliver, they can kiss my bare feet and lily white rear end goodbye. Can I hear an amen!

  91. Well I’m offended by those boxers. They don’t look like a quality brand….. 🙂

Seriously I wore suits for 25 years and would prefer death or dismemberment to a career needing them again.

  92. I nearly snarfed my beer when the shot pulled back to reveal you in shorts! Thank you for the gut-busting laugh!!!

  93. Brilliant Jeff, the reminder came at the perfect time for me as I had been having an internal conflict with ‘image’

  94. If you’re anything at all, Jeff, you are AUTHENTIC! That’s why we love you and feel that we know you even if we’ve never met face-to-face. What a fun way to make a point! Obviously, some of us wouldn’t even recognize you without your T-Shirt!!! Thanks for the laughs! 🙂

  98. Jeff that was brilliant!! And you hit it on the head exactly…most people don’t want to have to wear a stuffy suit or do these other ridiculous things to please a boss who many times could care less about them. Brilliant response Jeff, we love you for who you are: Keep going!
Two quick stories that may be relevant:
    – The story of eager young men turning up for their first day at work in their shiny new suits, only to discover they work for successful people who wear T-shirts and shorts.
    – Second story is an oldie: Back in the day Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer traveled from New Mexico to NYC to meet with IBM’s top management to sign the contract to develop the IBM PC operating system. Against Bill’s better judgment, Steve persuaded Bill to drop by Kmart and be kitted out with a suit. When they turned up in IBM’s boardroom’s all the IBM team turned up in jeans and t-shirts to make Bill feel at home.
Neither playing dress-up nor talking about what you are going to do ever made anybody. Only proof of accomplishment makes somebody

  100. Got some really troubling news today so I totally needed that hilaaarius video. That was awesome. Keep doing your thing man!

  101. What a great point to drive home! We’re finally in an age where our race, gender, creed, religion etc. doesn’t have to define us. Go freedom! Thanks Jeff

  102. Hi Jeff, I first saw you back in 2006 at an Underground Seminar in DC. I’d travelled from Australia to learn the latest internet marketing skills, and I recall you playing the ‘villain’ in a game that Yannick had organised as part of the dinner. You were hilarious and so authentic ! You are still that way it would seem 🙂 Love your work and always enjoy your information and how you share from the heart !

  103. I couldn’t agree with you more. When I was in sales I used to say that I could show up in shorts and a t-shirt and within 15 minutes the customer wouldn’t even noticed because of my knowledge, expertise and the value I offered.

As a Motivational Speaker and a Sales and Leadership Trainer, I do wear dress shirts and dress pants and a jacket (at first), but that is the image I want to portray, and I never wear a tie.

I like seeing videos and responses like that. Unfortunately Ron didn’t get it.

  104. Nice touch! “Hug your haters” great point. Thank you. We can not please everyone, as long as we are happy that is all that matters.

Lol, now THAT is a creative response! Isn’t is just incredibly amazing the things that some viewers will pick at? There’s no pleasing them, so glad you won’t be trying to. On a more serious note, after I stopped laughing, one thing I learned was the importance of being oneself in marketing and also being true to your brand. After watching your videos for months, it looked weird to see you in a suit and tie. It’s just not you, unless you’re trying to be funny. The casual t-shirt image has become part of your brand. It would look weird to watch Eckhart Tolle jumping around the stage punching air like Tony Robbins. It just wouldn’t be him. And it would be odd to see some Fortune 500 CEOs come to work in a t-shirt. In this line of work, when we are often our brand, thanks for helping to remind us of the importance of being ourselves.

  106. You know what I love most of all is that you use a negative comment like that for your next video and turn it almost into a lesson of what’s important and what’s not.
I think Ron did us all a favour and what I got from it was firstly don’t worry about the odd negative comments that you might get.
More importantly deal with clients that you want to deal with and the ones that SUITS you best.
    Good job Jeff, thank you.

  107. Jeff, thanks for the opportunity to see you in a suit. I thought to myself, if that was how you looked when I first saw you, I’d likely never began to follow you. By the way, it also makes you look about 10 years older!

I know why I LOVE your videos, so much Jeff….and it is because you are Authentic! I have recently started to show up to my client appointments in jeans and a t-shirt. I hate suits and ties. Great advice, attract the people you want to attract by being yourself. Keep on being REAL Jeff!

  109. At the start of the video I was so worried that you might be changing. NOT. Your message is so much more important than how you look. People love you and what you have to say BECAUSE of your authenticity and your image. Your message is not always casual, it is serious and deep, but the suit would definitely be a turn off to your real audience.

  110. This is just such a brilliant video! I loved the shorts!! I laughed soooo hard!! The T-shirts show that you can lead a cool lifestyle full of freedom! ….By the way, I’ve been trying to figure out what to wear for my videos, etc.

  111. Let’s see, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Simon Cowell, etc. Me…LOL Yeah it’s the message and the context. I loved the video. And we are not here to attract everyone.

  112. Just wondering if you leave this man ‘Ron’ even more frustrated with the justification mode by way of an apology? Or have I missed the point of the irony?

Or is this just a clever bit of disruptive messaging?

Whatever the motives, It feels really out of sorts – not particularly compassionate or free of judgement.

We know that people have their own filters of how they see their life and that not everyone is going to ‘get’ us.

Perhaps, this is the exact influence you were attempting with the apology video? You are a super human being with an amazing track record and a Service to help others to do the same.

…. I have just read this back to myself before posting and have actually answered my own limiting beliefs on confrontation and competition. There is no need for me to put this post up as a consequence of those distinctions, but I will, just to serve a purpose of being open to the awareness that participation creates.

    Win win

  113. Lol! Just watched 2 Jeff Walker videos back-to-back, first time ever. Go figure:0)

  114. I haven’t laugh so much since the last appologies of Bodyform, two years ago 🙂 Well done@Jeff Walker and @Daniel Walker!

  115. Love You Jeff! Yes, you wouldn’t want someone who is judging you based on your suit. A suit doesn’t make you a better person. But I am glad you don’t shoot videos in your tight whities. 🙂 Thank you for your value and what you share. Once I am finished in my current coaching program, I will be working with you. Thank you SO much! Freedom, authenticity, and awesomeness. Jeff, you rock, and I appreciate what you do. I am impressed by your value!

  116. Poor Ron, he can’t help it. He was born [evidently] with a silver foot in his mouth! You are phenomenal, fun, & an inspiration to me and millions of us! I love your work & all you’ve done (in your flip flops and shorts!) to free those of us who choose to be freed from the tyranny that the masses have been convinced is normal & necessary.
    Thank you ♡

  117. Jeff, I got digital strain in my index digit scrolling down to leave my very first msg for you. You rock, dude! Well done, congratulations. Ironic that your response here has made me understand why I respect you so much. You are one of my action heroes. Thank you for all your information.

  118. Pick me up off the floor…I’m rollin’. That was a GREAT message!

  119. I’m crying laughing so hard. So I work in the Corporate World in an open office environment. Got some interesting looks while listening to this video. You are hilarious!!

  120. A suit jacket and a pair of shorts. Jeff, I’m going to blame you if this becomes a new fashion trend!
However, I think you created a new brand icon for your business image of keeping it smart yet simple. I love it!

  121. Hey Jeff,

I think you’re so right – you have to do what is right for you. Don’t try to be someone you’re not – just be yourself!
One bit that did make me chuckle. You said you’d spoken in front of 1000 people in just a t-shirt and flip flops! I had a real image in my mind then of you speaking in literally…just a t-shirt and flip flops!

Anyhoo, thanks as always for your great content and your down to earth approach.

    Sending good vibes from London
    Steph

  122. Jeff, I absolutely love your response to Ron and I really hope he get’s it!

This was a perfect response … I have been watching you for years and have been at one of your events a few years ago … I am just getting into making video’s … this video taught me that I just need to be myself !!

    Thank you Jeff
P.S. and Thank you Ron for making such a ridiculous comment!

    Cheers,

  123. Great, great video Jeff! I couldn’t agree more, just be who you are, naturally, from the heart. You’re speaking my language. Thanks for all you do!

  124. Interesting, I work in a creative space, where everyone wears T shirts and dresses casually, the funny thing is I like to dress smart,(businessy) ready for anything as I see it, my grandmother used to tell me you can never be over dressed, I don’t worry about what anyone wears. I reckon as long as I dress appropriately for the situation. I get accused of being overdressed, but I feel comfortable. I wouldn’t feel so comfortable in T/shirt in shorts or a very casual dress. Your whole image as far as I have always seen is casual, don’t sweat the small stuff, take it easy, baby steps. I can’t believe that Ron got this far before insulting you, surely he understood what you were about!

  125. Omg I’m SCREAMING!! 😝🤣🤣🤣
    Love you so much
    You’ve changed my life
    Changed my family’s lives
    Changed my clients lives
Thank you for being you and sharing so abundantly
Praying for you and your family and team and clients every day
Sending you all my love!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💕✨

  126. My guess is that Ron won’t respond to your video as he
is too busy rubbing his 2 nickles together!!

  127. Whoa!! You scared me. At first I thought you were talking to me🙂.

  128. It is strange how some people judge the merit of business by superficial matters, who cares about tee shirts and wearing a suit?
We among the independent media fraternity hold different values, let’s think critically, not superficially.

  131. Love, love, love the echinacea in the garden behind you. That says more to me than a suit, a tux or anything else you choose to wear. Keep making your fashion statements that are true to you. And we’ll do the same.

  132. Fantastic Jeff!
I love how you’ve brought this message home!!
Working an online lifestyle and staying in my pj’s or tee shirt and shorts is a wonderful perks!!
    Thanks

Hi Jeff, you offended me by wearing a suite, but I love the shorts.
I normally don’t wear shoes, to me wearing shoes is like wearing a suite. 🙂
Thanks for your videos, I love them.

  134. OMG Jeff! This is hilarious! But a great message too! It’s great to see success doesn’t always have to be so formal and glamorous.

  135. Oh my gosh! Wow, thank you for being a leader, once again. Seeing you shoot videos in shorts and a t-shirt lets me know you’re probably like me: you like to be outside and active throughout the day and in between calls, not glued to a desk. Seeing you shoot a video in your garden makes me feel like we are really on the same page! You scared me there for a second: when I saw you in a suit I thought someone had died!!!

  136. Oh my gosh, I am laughing so hard.

Oh, Ron, life must be hard if teeshirts offend you, buddy. But hey, you do you, Ron.

  137. Excellent video and attracting the very people you want to work with. Your example contrasting between the false and true was right on the dot. Lesson taken…Thanks so much!

  138. Loved that video when you first posted it and loved it again today. In the immortal words of Warren Oates as Sgt. Hulka in the movie, Stripes, “Lighten up, Francis,” or in this case, Ron.

    Priceless intelligent stuff!!

You are a giant…so much to learn from you.

  141. On behalf of all Rons everywhere, I feel the need to apologize.
I will address this situation at our annual convention.

And remember, two Rons don’t make a right.

  142. Thanks Jeff. I’m a t-shirt and jeans guy and having difficulty breaking that pattern. I can wear a button down over a t-shirt sometimes, but I’m basically allergic to ties of any kind and I’m in total agreement that suits are for weddings and funerals.

Thanks for “permission” to be me and make my content speak for itself.

    Blessings Always,
