Five years ago, I was walking on this exact same beach when I was inspired to shoot a video that completely changed my business. This video is about those little moments we all have, where we take a chance and decide to do something different…

Don’t get fooled by the tool and find yourself distracted
from the action it takes for traction toward your purpose.
The world awaits ones showing up in a meaningful way.
Thanks for “going and getting them” week upon week.

  3. Thank you for showing up Jeff! Your story is an inspiration and you are a blessing…

  4. I thought it was so interesting that as you were talking about showing up and putting one foot in front of the other, I could see all your footprints behind you on the beach! At the end of your video, I bet the path of your footprints was really long and you could easily see all the progress you made walking down the beach. In the same way, if I show up faithfully in certain areas of my life, I’ll be able to look back and see all my progress, even if sometimes in the moment it just feels like putting one foot in front of the other. Thanks for the inspiring video today!

    • Kristin said exactly what I had planned to say. I even took a screenshot of you with your footprints trailing behind you because it was so inspiring to me. I look forward to your videos every Sunday morning. This particular one will probably get watched over and over by me. The idea of just showing up and putting one foot in front of the other is probably going to be in a blog post soon.

Jeff, I agree with the others who commented. Thank you for showing up!

      • Agreed – thanks for the meaningful insight, Jeff 🙂

  5. We’re with you!
Have an awesome time with your tribe.

    ‘ Just skinned my knees!
Standing and fighting. Be there soon. ‘

  6. I’d like to tell you my story in the future Jeff, after we launch our software. EVERYTHING you’ve said is absolutely true. All the very best, Pete

  7. Looking forward to PLF Live…. Glad to hear that you’re an introvert too! So, like you, I put on my extroverted self and look forward to meeting all of the other folks! I’m just starting out in this, but I know based on past experience that there are people out there who want to learn the knowledge that I have. So I hope I can add as much value to other people’s lives as you are adding to ours. Thank you Jeff!

  8. I absolutely love this message! Baby steps and keep showing up. Challenges keep those who don’t really want it out of the game. I notice this with the colleagues I graduated coaching school with…those of us who keep showing up through the hard times and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, are the ones having success. Thanks again for another inspiring video!

  9. Totally inspiring! First step followed by one foot in front of the other like your footprints in the sand! In my world, hoofprints in the sand! This one really spoke to me–thanks, Jeff! Can’t wait to meet you (if I can find you in the other 1,099 people . . . Congrats to you!

  10. Thankk-You… very inspiring!!!

Only now realizing how grateful I am for my first step… I have been receiving your emails for sometime but only now opened to watch… I hope to not miss another!

I loved the footprints being left behind as well. Great unintentional metaphor. So excited to see you at PLF Live this week!
Jeff, I thought the video quality was very good. I really enjoy the authenticity of these.
Was this on your phone? Also what camera holder did you have? I could see the reflection in your glasses but couldn’t tell what type it was.
    Thanks!

    • @Pete: We use a variety of cameras, and sometimes I do shoot them on my phone… but I shot this one with a Canon G7X on a GorillaPod. 🙂

  12. Thank you for keeping on showing up and making the videos. You are so right. Showing up is the answer.Your story is such an inspiration.

  13. thanks Jeff , I am just about to launch my first online programme for food businesses so hearing you talk about taking steps, about getting better at videos etc all helps . I read your book last autumn on a beach in spain – i want to be able to live between there and UK in a few years time so i am changing how I work 1 step at a time ….. thanks for being real and reminding me you did it by taking small steps

  14. Thank-you Jeff. It is your fundamental kindness and the love and light in your eyes that draws me. You are living proof the good guys win, and that you don’t have to be cut throat or crooked to rock out a business and be successful. I am way behind you on that beach following your footsteps. Thanks for leading.

  15. thanks for the inspiration Jeff. The one step for me was to buy the PLF course, the next step is to attend PLF Live. I can’t wait.

  16. I get so cautivated with your videos Jeff! You are so genuine and brilliant! I will see you in Phoenix! Can’t wait to meet you in person. Thank you for all you do!!

    Thanks Jeff,
Your videos are always inspiring to me and I try to put their content into action in my life. All the best for this weekend. Congratulations.

  19. Thanks you! I’m hiring my assistant today, first step towards having people working for me and with me. What you said was encouraging, thanks!

  20. I love your videos. I have spent the morning getting myself off email lists that are just taking up space…keeping yours because I love your videos. And this one is perfect – just keep showing up. Small steps. And I would add, (it’s obvious you do this, you just didn’t say it today) Show up doing what you love, and a life you love will be what you create. And it’s crazy, but it feels like it was kind of created around you. All I was doing, was doing what I love consistently and look, here I am in the middle of a life I love. Magic. Thank you.

  21. Your impromptu “ugly” videos are the most inspiring ones for me. 🙂 6 months ago we were in a terrible car crash within days of our first launch, which put everything on hold until now, at last, we’re just about feeling ready to get going again. First launch mk 2!
This first step and keep taking the baby steps reminder is just what we need to get ourselves up and running again. Well limping slowly anyway!
    Thank you Jeff

  22. Thank you for your courage to make the most of those little decisions and inspiring us to do the same.
