It sounds kinda outrageous, this notion of doing less but making more (and having more time, freedom, and joy). But here’s the thing – there are already folks out there who have figured out the secret. That’s what this week’s video is all about.

Thanks Jeff. I built and sold two businesses on the upper two high-pricing point fractals in publishing services. I consult in only the upper fractal every day today. The principles is richer than we think!

  2. Always worth reminding oneself about thie disproportionate balance between effort & reward.
Also, thank you for highlighting Eban’s insight about the same thing applying to negative issues. That’s really interesting and rather reassuring.

  3. Great message and timely as well since I happen to be reading 80/20 Sales and Marketing by Perry Marshall. Thanks for sharing your insights!

  4. Thanks for investing the time to share. I will be implementing immediately.

  5. Wow, love your comprehensive view of the 80/20 principle Jeff and how to apply this in so many circumstances 🙂

One thing I always love watching these videos is the second video that plays after…it adds even more depth to the main video and makes me think deeper! Love it.

  7. The 80/20 rule holds true. I’ve run an advertising and marketing business for more than 30 years, and the ratio of profit to work has always adhered this strangely accurate rule. The hard part is identifying the 20% that is the most productive and profitable. 20% of my clients provide 90% of profit. It never ceases to amaze me. If I could give one piece of advice, it’s to find the ‘cash cow” or two that can accomplish this.

  8. I had read this before, but there is a big difference between knowing something and truly understanding something. A good teacher knows how to make knowledge a part of a student’s thinking. Thank you, Jeff.

  9. Thanks Jeff, for sharing this great video. I do infrared inspections of home, factories and business. I had spent so much time working on long reports that normally customers do not read instead of standarizing my job to do the reports faster and better.

Thanks for sharing your and Eben Pagan’s insight of Pareto 20/80.

  10. Jeff, You are 80% of the 20% of the people I have met that gave me 80% of the help I needed to create an amazing business. Gratitude for all you do!

  11. THANK YOU, Jeff Walker.
I so love to listen to you, and to watch you ‘being you, present and purposeful’.
This 80 / 20 presentation is yet another – great – gift from you to me – and, the world.
Wishing you and your loved ones: Health and happiness – always and in all ways.

    Hello Jeff,
Enjoyed your video about Pareto’s Principle or the 80/20 rule,
It was the winning strategy in the Kennedy- Nixon presidential campaign. The strategy that Jack and Bobby Kennedy came up with was that the Kennedy team should put 80% of their efforts in the 20% of the states that yielded 80% of the electro votes. The 80/20/80 rule, if you will! The Nixon team tried to campaign in all 50 states pretty much equally. It was still a very close race!

Thanks for all your scholarly works. Gerry and Theresa

  13. A great reminder Jeff. The fear of letting go and focusing in our strengths, it’s so important! Another great video clip. Thank you again Jeff.

  14. Thanks Jeff. This also reminds me that when I put out content, it takes a lot of content consistently created to produce a few golden nuggets. I’m an artist, and sometimes the painting I thought wasn’t my best work gets the greatest reaction. So if I produce 10 paintings a year, 2 might do really well. If I can produce 100 a year, then something like 20 may do really well. But if I only produce 2 or 3, it will be a lot harder to make something happen.

  15. Very true Jeff. I know Paretto, but I had never thought of the Noretto principle!
Yet don’t we all know that 80% (if not more) of our headache and anxiety (NON-joy) comes from these 20% (and even less) of our NON-actions, actions we don’t take.
A dreaded phone call, for instance, will take 5 minutes to make and get over with, however uneasy and awkward. Yet ruminating and suffering over NOT making it can last days, weeks, and ruin whole chunks of our existence! Thanks for the reminder.
