You’re missing the point, Chandan. Rather than just the money generated, the sale is a tool to really show how awesome your product is, and create buzz to help more sales. So focus on the customer experience from the sale rather than the money from the sale itself.

Completely agree, Jeff! Also, if we focus on selling to generate raving fans, we won’t have time to worry about whether we’ll get the money or not–the result? A more relaxed, authentic approach that creates trust and sells!

And I actually think that the big mistake impeding success, online and also offline, is trying to hide your self, your personality. Building trust and authority means first of all to be visible as a person.
And this trust and credibility is largely responsible for the higher value of your customer list compared to your prospect list.
