Being an entrepreneur can feel lonely. Sure, we’ve got our laptops, our phones, and every tool imaginable to build a business. But there’s an energy that only comes from being in a room full of people who “get it.”

That’s why I started my Lunch Club Mastermind. Every time we meet, it’s like I open the doors to a new world of ideas, strategies, and inspiration that fuels my best work. I’ve learned that one of the most powerful moves for starting or scaling a business is surrounding yourself with the right people.

The Power of a Mastermind

With 52 meetings across two Mastermind groups, these sessions rank as some of my best days each year. It’s not just about the cutting-edge strategies or the entrepreneurial breakthroughs but about the people.

These aren’t just any entrepreneurs, they’re folks from around the world, pushing boundaries and tackling big goals. When you’re around people like that, it’s hard not to leave inspired.

Here’s what makes these sessions full of impact:

→ Everyone brings fresh, actionable insights.

→ Members hail from five different continents, bringing unique approaches to common challenges.

→ The room itself is full of people who aren’t just playing it safe. They’re chasing real impact, real lifestyle changes.

Real Problems, Real Solutions

One of my favorite parts of a mastermind meeting? The way the group rallies around each other.

Once, someone in the group faced an unexpected financial challenge after a real estate deal went sideways. She needed $100,000 to bridge the gap that month.

The entire group pitched in, offering insights and strategies. Within weeks, she had hit her goal.

The takeaway here is about mindset. It’s about that problem-solving drive, the decision to tackle challenges head-on instead of getting stuck.

That’s the core of what a mastermind fosters.

Here’s what makes that possible:

  • Resourceful minds: People who see possibilities instead of roadblocks.
  • Willingness to help: A supportive community that steps up when needed.
  • Practical advice: Strategies that aren’t just theories but tested methods that work.

If I'm being honest, part of why I run these groups is selfish. Yes, the members see great results, and the room’s diversity adds tremendous value.

But I need the benefits of my mastermind as much as anyone else. These meetings are essential to my own growth. It’s grounding, inspiring, and keeps me connected to the latest in entrepreneurial thinking.

I spend 12 days each year in Mastermind meetings. These aren’t just strategy sessions, they’re deep dives into what’s possible in business and life.

Being around people who are just as focused on scaling a business as I am is essential. Whether it’s through ideas, feedback, or even a little tough love, these sessions remind me of why I do what I do.

Masterminds don’t just give you strategies, they give you a sense of belonging and a network of people who will rally behind you when you need it most.

Bonus: I bring the learnings from my mastermind meetings into my podcast, Dare to Launch.
We cover topics like:

  • Mindset shifts for breaking through plateaus
  • Growth strategies that fit today’s business landscape
  • Marketing and tactics for both new and seasoned entrepreneurs

So, whether it’s a mastermind, a mentor, or a community, I can’t stress enough how vital it is to find your own “room.” The journey may be challenging, but with the right people, anything is possible.
