Let’s talk about failure.
I know – not the most fun topic in the world. But if you’re putting yourself out there – creating, building, and launching – there’s no avoiding it…
You are going to fail at some point. We all are.
But what if failure wasn’t something to be afraid of?
What if failing wasn’t just a sign you’re on the right path… but you’d taken a big step forward?
Every successful person I know has “failed” their way to success. Here’s how you can do the same…

Let's talk about failure.
What if you fail? What if you put in your best effort and you fail – It just doesn't work, you fall down, you skin your knees.
Well, here's the thing. I can say for sure that you absolutely 100% will fail. Failure is absolutely unavoidable. That's the way life works. The only way you succeed is by failing. The only path to success is through failure.
Failure is not an identity. It's not who you are. Failure is an event. And we all have those events. It doesn't make them any easier, any more enjoyable but to get to success you have to move through failure. The only way to truly fail is to not try, to not learn, and to not try again. Winston Churchill said, “If you're going through hell, keep going.” He knew about failure. He had lots of failures until he won.
This is the simplest video ever. There's nothing more to say. You need to keep moving. You need to keep learning. When a child is learning, a baby is learning to walk, no baby ever just starts walking. They fall down many times time after time after time until that baby learns to walk. There is no straight path to success. That path is littered with failure after failure after failure until you see success and even then there are more failures ahead of you. The only way to succeed is through failure. Embrace the failure. Doesn't mean you have to love it. Doesn't mean you have to enjoy it. It doesn't mean you're not going to do your best to avoid it.
But when you fail then you say, “Next.” How do we move forward from here? What can we learn from that failure and what's next? You don't obsess over the failure. You don't beat yourself up over the failure. You move on next, next, next, what's next. What did I learn? What's next?
I see so many people held back by perfectionism. They want their, whatever it is, their product, their offer, their video, to be perfect. It's never going to be perfect. And by waiting until it's perfect you're just procrastinating. You're putting off that possibility of failure and by putting off that possibility of failure you're putting off the possibility of success. The only sure way to truly fail is to not try.
I'm Jeff Walker. Let's go get them this week.
