Ever have a moment when you think you're doing pretty well… and then you hear something that flips your brain inside out?

It happened to me in the most random place – a buffet line.

There was no dramatic moment or big speech…


Just a quick comment from the guy next to me as he casually spooned a few green beans onto his plate, and boom – the genie was out of the bottle.

My world – and my business – changed in that instant.

It was that fast. Because once I’d heard it, I could never go back.

That “green beans” moment led to some of my biggest growth ever. But it didn’t start by hustling harder or overhauling every aspect of my life…

The absolute fastest way to level up is to surround yourself with people who are playing a bigger game.

People who are further ahead than you are. I've had this tennis for me that I've been, we've been playing together for 25 years. And what I've noticed is that anytime anyone in the group takes some lessons, improves their game in some way, it ends up leveling up our entire foursome.

And this is something I learned long ago in business. When I got in my first mastermind group, I was, all of a sudden, surrounded by people who were doing big things, bigger things than me, who thought bigger, who had skills that I didn't have and in the next year my business doubled.

And then that was a completely virtual mastermind and then a few years later we got together for our first ever in-person meeting. We spent two days in Las Vegas meeting together and that took everything to the next level because all of a sudden I'm with people that are just doing big things that are inspiring me, that are showing me how to think bigger, show me the holes that I have in my thinking and in my business and really, that's what my entire business is based upon. [It] is creating these environments, these communities, these trainings, these coachings that show people where they can grow, how they can grow, that open up new possibilities for them. 

Yeah it's the technical training, absolutely, critically important. But the community and the inspiration of being around people that are further ahead than you –  it's amazing.

I've told this story before. One time, one of the first conferences I ever went to, it was an amazing conference in Boulder, Colorado. They had a buffet so they served lunch there to all the attendees. And they had a buffet and at that point I had this business. My business had grown and I was making over $100,000 a year which I thought was absolutely amazing. It was as much money as I ever could have dreamed of and I'm in line and I'm 

going to this buffet and I get to talking to the person right next to me in the buffet and he just, without bragging, without any agenda, happened to mention that he was doing $100,000 also but the difference was he was doing $100,000 per month and that was one of those ideas that when I heard that it was like, that the genie doesn't go back in the bottle. It just expanded my thinking in such a huge way. I was so proud of $100,000 a year and and I should have been but to hear someone that was doing a hundred thousand a month was like “Wow he's taking, you know, he's going through the same buffet, he's taking green beans and putting them on his plate just like me if he could do it maybe I can.” And that's that. That moment of awakening is sort of as a teacher, as an instructor, as a leader, that's the moment I live for where we can open up someone's ideas to the 

possibility. I absolutely love live events. I've been doing them for years and I've got one coming up in just a few weeks.

 Our Launch Intensive, we're actually going to do it here in Durango, this 

is Durango, Colorado right here. And not that far away. We're going to be meeting. There's going to, we've got 40 spots in that room. It's going to be awesome. Almost as of right now I think 33 of those spots are gone and I got three more people that are just, they're arranging their payments right now. So we've probably got four spots maybe as I record this probably 

by the time you watch it it'll probably be fewer. It might be sold out. I'll put a link down below.

You know we did this once before. It was absolutely amazing. And you know, it's this idea of come into the room and have us work through your launch, work through your campaign, show you the blind spots and so there'll be all the technical training but also they'll be that inspiration 

and they'll be around myself and my team, my campaign design team and my coaches and the other attendees are going to be absolutely amazing. 

I already know a bunch of them so, you know, if you can't come to this Intensive, find a way to plug in to people that are doing bigger things than you because that's the fastest, shortest path to growth in every area of your life.
