Summary

Elliot Connie is a psychotherapist who transitioned his business online with Product Launch Formula®, and his story is one of pure perseverance. Starting with no email list and no audience, Elliot transformed his career, growing from small beginnings to making a global impact.

Along the way, he faced canceled gigs, disappointing launches, and the kind of setbacks that stop most people in their tracks. But Elliot didn’t stop – he kept going, step by step, until something finally clicked.

What was the breakthrough that made all the difference? It’s a simple but powerful shift, and it might just change the way you think about what’s possible for your business dreams.

Perseverance in Action

Elliot Connie is a psychotherapist who started with no email list, no roadmap, and no idea how to build an online business – and yet, through sheer determination, he’s built a thriving enterprise that’s changing lives around the world.

Elliot’s story is about showing up every day, even when the odds seem stacked against you. It’s about perseverance, plain and simple.

So, if you’ve ever felt like you don’t have what it takes to launch or grow an online business, this story is for you.

From Therapy Room to Global Impact

When Elliot started his career as a psychotherapist in Texas, he had one goal: to build the biggest practice he could. He loved working with clients, but as time went on, he realized there were only so many hours in a day – and that meant only so many people he could help.

That realization sparked a big idea… What if he could teach other psychotherapists how to use the techniques he’d been mastering? Instead of helping clients one-on-one, he could impact thousands – maybe tens of thousands – through the therapists he trained.

It was a bold vision, but Elliot didn’t let the size of the dream intimidate him. He decided to figure it out – one step at a time.

The Humblest of Beginnings

When Elliot first decided to go online, he had no email list – none. But instead of letting that stop him, he set a goal: get 100 subscribers.

Now, 100 might not sound like much, but for Elliot, it was everything. If I could get 100 people, I’d feel like the most famous person ever, he told me. So he started small – sending out newsletters and sharing valuable content.

Those first 100 subscribers turned into 500. Then 1,000. Then 26,000. And eventually, 53,000. Every milestone felt like a win, and Elliot celebrated each one – because he knew every new subscriber represented someone who believed in what he had to offer.

The First Launch

In 2015, Elliot held his first live event. He booked a hotel conference room, set the ticket price at $797, and hoped to fill 30 seats.

Not only did he fill those seats, but he exceeded his goal. The event sold out so quickly that he had to call the hotel and request a larger room. That launch was a turning point – not just financially, but mentally. It showed Elliot what was possible if he trusted the process and kept moving forward.

Not Every Launch Was a Winner

Here’s the part most people don’t talk about…not every launch goes as planned.

After the success of his first event, Elliot transitioned to online launches. His first attempt brought in about $10,000 – not bad, but far below what he’d hoped for.

Now, this is the moment where a lot of people throw in the towel. But Elliot isn’t one of those people. He treated launching like an athlete training for a championship. He locked himself in the “launch room” and refused to come out until he figured it out.

Over the next three years, Elliot launched consistently – sometimes as many as three times a month. He wasn’t chasing perfection, he was chasing progress. Every launch, whether a win or a flop, taught him something new.

The Pandemic Pivot

And then March 2020 happened. Within 48 hours, 40 of Elliot’s speaking gigs were canceled. His main source of income disappeared overnight.

What did Elliot do? He launched.

Even though his friends told him, Nobody’s buying right now, Elliot knew better. He trusted his email list, his audience, and the process. He launched a $147 product and sold it to 262 people – more than doubling his previous best.

And then in April, he launched a flagship course at $997 and brought in 250 buyers. Those launches weren’t just about the money – they were about proving that all his hard work and perseverance had paid off.

The Secret to Successful Launching

When I asked Elliot what finally clicked for him, he said something that really struck me:

The key to launching is showing people that I’ve been where they are – and that they can be where I am now.

That’s it. It’s not about fancy strategies or complicated tactics. It’s about connecting with your audience on a human level, showing them what’s possible, and guiding them to take the next step.

Lessons from Elliot’s Journey

Elliot’s story is packed with lessons for anyone who wants to launch and grow an online business. Here are three of the biggest:

1. Start Where You Are

Elliot didn’t wait until he had everything figured out. He started with zero subscribers and worked his way up, one email at a time.

2. Keep Showing Up

Success isn’t about getting it right the first time. It’s about showing up, learning, and improving. Elliot launched consistently for three years before he hit his stride.

3. Focus on Serving Your Audience

Elliot’s goal was never just to make money – it was to make a difference. That focus on service is what helped him build trust and grow his business.

Final Thoughts

Elliot’s story is one of grit, heart, and unwavering perseverance. He didn’t let setbacks stop him, and he didn’t wait for the “perfect” moment to start. He just kept going, step by step, until he achieved his dream.

If you’re feeling stuck or unsure about your next move, take a page from Elliot’s playbook. Start where you are, focus on serving your audience, and keep going. Success isn’t about perfection – it’s about persistence.
